Why does Ivy request various documentation on the company and individuals during the onboarding process?

Last updated: November 24, 2025

As a regulated financial infrastructure provider, Ivy is required to comply with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Act of Finland (444/2017). This means we are legally obliged to verify the identity of the businesses and individuals we work with before providing services.

During onboarding, you may be asked to provide:

  • Company registration details

  • Documentation identifying directors and beneficial owners (UBOs)

  • Business structure and nature of operations

  • Source of Wealth/Funds

  • Information on your internal AML framework (if applicable)

These requirements help us ensure that your business is legitimate and not involved in any prohibited activities. The exact documents required may vary based on your risk classification, industry, and jurisdiction.

This process is essential for maintaining the integrity of our platform, protecting your business, and fulfilling our regulatory duties.
